Teclast T50 – Multi-Touch Touchscreen MP4 Player

A new Teclast player has been announced, the Teclast T50. The T50 has an attractive design, WGVA widescreen display, similar to iPhone capacitive touch-screen, multi-point touch, RMVB / RM / FLV / AVI video support, and audio independent dual-core processors.

Here’s an explaination of the capacitive touch-screen and multi-point touch.

Capacitive touch screen: capacitive touch screen is the main structure on the screen in the glass coating of a transparent thin film layer, then add a conductor layer of protection glass, double-glass design can completely protect the conductor layer and sensors.

Multi-point touch: a traditional touch screen can only judge a touch, if at the same time with more than two points are touched, will not be able to make the right reaction, or reaction confusion. Touch the multiple tasks can be divided into two aspects of the work, first at the same time collecting more signal, the signal on every road the meaning of judgement, the so-called gesture recognition.

E-Series Latitude leaked

Engadget has got some news on a new series of laptops from Dell. The E-Series laptops should have some decent specs that include 4.25 pound / 14.1-inch and 5 pound / 15.4-inch version, both with WXGA and WXGA+ LED backlit displays, as well as a 12-inch (pictured above) and 13.3-inch version for road warrior types. Expect DisplayPort, eSATA, plenty of USB ports, and PC or ExpressCard slots in the larger models.

Garmin announces NuviPhone GPS cell phone

I heard rumblings that Garmin was going into the cell phone business. Well today we know for sure. Here is the Garmin NuviPhone, a touchscreen, 3.5G, GSM phone, and features a Google apps local search, traffic, gMail, gChat, weather. Added features include mp3 player, wifi, Bluetooth. MMS, SMS, and other instant messaging protocols are supported. It should be available Q3 of 2008.

Vudu price dropped!

To keep up with the competition Vudu has dropped the price of their box to only $295. This was due to them trying to compete with the Apple TV which sells for $229. Those who purhased in the last 30 days will get a $100 movie credit.
